Dinner At The Terrace
The Main Lodge
African Design Adapted To The Surrounding Nature
The architecture and the quality of the entire Lodge express the better of two different worlds clearly reflecting the African heritage and the Danish ownership. Only the best materials have been used in all parts of the lodge and all houses and all buildings have charming thatched roofs and private verandas. The workmanship clearly shows that the owners have their main occupation in the Scandinavian building industry.
The lodge is situated in the Waterberg Mountain Range at the foot of a dramatic cliff where a perennial stream has carved its way through the rock formation and runs into a beautiful small artificial lake, which acts as a sanctuary for a great variety of birds and wild animals in the area. This magic place is illuminated at night.
Our Pool Area
The Main Building Includes Our Bar & Restaurant
The main building encompasses an open plan lodge, with a kitchen, a cosy bar and our in & outdoor dining area. Sliding doors open onto the covered deck and the outdoor grill with a stunning view of the lake. All meals are served at the master table on the covered terrace overlooking the lake and the rock face. For special functions or private dinners we can comfortably seat up to a maximum of 60 guests.
The Swimming Pool Area
The main deck overlooks the lower swimming pool deck with its main swimming pool as well as a Jacuzzi-size pool for children. Here you can laze about in the sun on a deck chair, without compromising the view and overall experience of the lodge.
The Lake Terrace
Lies in the centre of our lake connected to the main lodge via a boardwalk. It is a favourite spot for wedding ceremonies and the ideal spot to chill out with a cold drink taking in the entire scenery.
Bird & Nature Lovers’ Paradise
The combination of well kept gardens surrounding the villas and main lodge, with the indigenous bushveld flora of the Waterberg region, creates the perfect environment for a rich and varied bird life at the lodge and around the lake. Numerous species reside and nestle in the reeds and surrounding trees, which also provides a safe haven for a multitude of other seasonal visitors. Fish eagles and Giant Kingfishers are often seen diving into the lake and cormorants and hammerheads patrol near the dam. Just to mention a few.
